The Collector’s Feed & Liking Items
This is the part that turns Lootero from a private catalogue into a living, breathing collector community.
Step 1: Open the Feed
Tap the Feed icon (second from the left in the bottom bar) – or tap the little arrow on the Dashboard’s “Collector’s Feed” preview.
You’re now looking at a beautiful endless scroll of items other collectors have added and chosen to make public.
What you’ll see on every post:
- Big photo (tap it to zoom full-resolution)
- Item name + key details (year, grade, etc.)
- Collector’s display name
- Red heart with the current like count
- Sometimes a yellow “For Sale” banner
Step 2: Like items (your personal watchlist)
Found something you love, need, or just want to track?
Tap the red heart → it fills solid and the count goes up by 1.
That item is now saved forever in your personal Liked tab.
How to get there anytime:
- Tap the heart icon in the top-right of the main navigation bar, or
- On the Feed screen, tap “View Liked Items” at the very top.
Use your Liked tab for:
- Inspiration for your next purchase
- Watching items you’re missing from a set
- Quietly tracking things that might come up for sale later
Step 3: Spot and follow “For Sale” items
When someone is selling, you’ll see a bright yellow For Sale banner.
Tap the banner → instantly opens their eBay/wherever link in your browser.
Pro tip: like every “For Sale” item you’re interested in. If the price drops later or it gets relisted, you’ll already have it in your Liked tab ready to check.
Step 4: Deep-dive into any public item
Tap any photo in the Feed → a big modal window opens with every public detail the owner shared:
- All specs (brand, year, condition, grading, country…)
- Full-size zoomable photo
- Like button again
- “View listing” button if it’s for sale
That’s the entire social side in a nutshell. Zero spam, zero follow requests – just beautiful items and instant buying opportunities.
You now have two superpowers:
- Daily inspiration from thousands of collectors worldwide
- A private watchlist that quietly alerts you to deals
